Frequently Asked Questions

Can I apply for more than one category?
Yes. Candidates may choose to enter more than one category if they wish. If they do, they will need to submit additional application forms and pay for each category entered. Candidates can play only one musical instrument per application.

How are prizes awarded?
The competition committee sends candidate videos to the jury panel for assessment. Jury members rate performances on a 100-point scale, considering overall performance quality and musicianship within each category. In each category, candidates scoring 96–100 receive the Platinum Prize, 90–95 the Gold Prize, 85–89 the Silver Prize, and 80–84 the Bronze Prize. Multiple winners are possible in each tier, and a tier may go unawarded if no candidate meets the score criteria. Those who did not win an award will receive an e-certificate of participation.

Can I use my old performance videos for the seasonal competition?
Yes. You can use a performance video recorded at any time or for any occasion.

Do I need to play the melodic instrument or vocal part with accompaniment?
Candidates have the flexibility to perform solo or with accompaniment, which can be either live or pre-recorded.

Can I submit separate videos for different pieces or movements?
Yes, as long as the combined videos meet the total time duration criteria for the specific category.

Do I get a certificate if I don't win a prize?
Yes. Candidates who did not win an award will receive an e-certificate of participation and a jury comment sheet in digital format.

Who is eligible to order the trophy?
Only prize winners of the seasonal competition are eligible to order the trophy, which is available at an additional cost.

When will the results be announced?
Seasonal competition results are typically announced about three weeks after the application deadline.

Will I receive a notification for the competition results?
Yes. Candidates will be notified when the results are announced, typically about three weeks after the application deadline.

I'm turning 10 years old soon. Can I apply for the Age 9 and Under category?
Yes. Your eligibility for age categories is based on your age on the first day of the application period. For example, if the application period starts on October 1st and you are 9 on that day, you can apply for the Age 9 and Under category.
